The article describes the marked reduction in the resistance of inertial forces resulting from the reduction of the masses of the crank system in translational motion. The process of designing a modified connecting rod and piston of an internal combustion engine using SolidWorks software is presented. The designed parts were compared with the original elements in terms of weight and distribution. The movement resistance forces of the crank system were determined: the factory one and the one with elements made of titanium alloy. The comparison of results was presented as one of the advantages of using titanium alloy for crank system components.
